Lourmarin, Arles and Les Baux

After leaving the Gorge to Verdon region we traveled Westward out of the Alps-Maritimes and into what is more recognized as Provence. We weren’t all settled about where to go but we headed first to Lourmarin for lunch, in the event that I ever finish reading, “A Year in Provence,” so I’ll know where it’s all set, and quickly after we made our way to Avignon (seperated in the album below), staying the night in Arles with my old co-workers and finally to Les-Baux-de-Provence in the morning.

Highlights included seeing the old Papal Palace in Avignon, the cool rock formations of Les-Baux and dinner in Arles – YUM!
