I’ve started to take on some rather luscious morning rituals these days and among them is putting this lovely rich oil blend on my stomach when I get out of the shower. I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in the battle against stretch marks!
Some of you might know that before moving to France I ran a small bath and body care company in Canada and while I’ve brought some of my goods over to France I haven’t quite kick-started things over here but the nice thing is I had so many oils to choose from when putting this together.
Now, if you don’t have a cupboard full of oils like I do, don’t sweat it. Two of the best oils you could pick from the bunch and use throughout pregnancy (and are relatively easy to find) are Rosehip oil and/or Wheatgerm oil. They’re both fantastic for the skin and they smell fairly neutral, which for some is pretty important since essential oils are generally frowned upon (and some are even dangerous) while pregnant.
But since I do have all these oils, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to use them! I did a fair amount of research to make sure I was using the best possible combo that would promote cell regeneration and skin elasticity as well as contain high concentrations of essential fatty acids, omegas, vitamins and minerals. It has a rather earthy smell when all blended together but I don’t mind and really it only lasts a few minutes before dissipating.
So if you’d like to have a go at it here’s my recipe!
