Maternity session in the Forest of Fontainebleau

french maternity photographer

It was the middle of the holiday break when I got a request to do some maternity photos. François and Claire wanted to mark the occasion and they needed them to happen quickly! I was working away on a couple other projects to wrap things up for year end but we found a moment at the beginning of January to meet and thankfully the twins decided to hang in there long enough for us to get some photos.

The original plan was to do studio photos but the day the shoot came it was the most gorgeous golden sun, even though it was already starting to set, we made the last minute decision to brave the cold and catch what light we could around the village.

Thankfully we managed to create some beautiful images without having to search too far and having scouted ahead of time. We were even fortunate enough to be passed the keys to a little old chapel falling into ruin that’s closed to the public. Between the chapel and the Forêt de Fontainebleau across the street, we had some great locations and we managed to make the most of the little time we had.

In the end, they didn’t regret having opted to go outside and me neither! Now to await the arrival of their two little ones.
